The Pyramid Scheme
We run several games simultaneously here in an on-going,
ladder-style tournament. All players start at the entry level.
Players who finish a game in the top 20% or so move up a level.
There will be several entry level games, fewer games at each
succeeding level, and a single game at the top of the pyramid.
How I became a Starship Trader...
It was December 2399, The 31st to be exact. The crew and I
were counting down the last seconds of the year... "3...2...1...HAP"
Then, all of a sudden, I had this odd feeling. Kinda' like
being torn out of reality by the funny bone. Once I realized
that something had actually happened I started getting reports
in from all over the bridge. "Captain, we've lost communications!"
"Sir, our scanners are down!"
"TSR coordinate system has gone completely haywire, it's over-
loading! SHUT IT DOWN! Get a fire control team up here, FAST!"
The most disturbing news came in from Owen, the first officer.
"Captain, we've lost geo-sync around Io. The entire fleet is
gone! HECK, the entire MOON is missing, and Jupiter, Sol, and the
rest of the system with it!" Very confused, I looked out my view
screen. It was true, somehow... We were alone in the stars...
