A New Frontier at Starship Traders

Thewre is now a new game over at Starship Traders entitled "The New Frontier." Following is an email by a ST developer, Katrina Kirelli, to the Starship Traders online discussion group:

Using the Poll input and available options, Ray decided what to do.
He fixed the bug in the OLD game. Next, he made new improvements to
the software and made a NEW game called "The New Frontier". The old
games are still available to all who want to play them.

Personally, I lost somewhat in that "The New Frontier" does not have
a tourney. It only has a newbie game and a veteran game. So the
ladder is not in that one (yet - I still plan on lobbying to replace
the old tourney with a new one on the new code).

Anyhow - client wise, I have created a new client which accesses the
new game "The New Frontier". I will no longer be modifying the old
client and I have archived it in the files section. The old version
is still available on the webpage too.

So - welcome to the New Frontier - you will find it very similar to
the old - and yet - new and wondrous things are soon to be found. In
order to keep developing the game - I really need to spend my time in
the new game only. So I bid farewell to all those who are staying
behind and hope to see them in the future. Eventually I think you
will come when someone wipes out your forces. Eventually, I believe
there will be a sole survivor as has happened in the past. I could
be proven wrong and people could flock to the OLD game - now that
indeed - would be funny. The old game is a place for unfinished
business in my mind. Personally, I say - conclude it.
